The New Seven Wonders Foundation was launched in Switzerland under the leadership of Canadian-Swiss Bernard Weber. The Seven Wonders Foundation is dedicated to protecting and raising awareness about the most remarkable natural and man-made landmarks of the world.
The “New7Wonders” campaign, launched in 2000 by the New7Wonders Foundation, aimed to select the New Seven Wonders of the World from existing monuments through a global vote.
This campaign concluded in 2007 and has occasionally organized other initiatives to select various wonders, such as cities and nature.
